hmm quite a bit of stuff happened over the past 3 days or so.

went to celebrate melvin's birthday on fri. haha the second person in 0622 to be 18! and the oldest guy in class. hehe now if u wanna go get stuff like alcohol we all know who to get from... just kidding. sad guy man. got stripped of his shirt at the tables outside LT4 during common lunch. ya so the entire 0622 gang went to have pizza there to celebrate his birthday.happy birthday dude.

then straight after that, i went to my NEW class lol. 0735! haha. had a class lunch this time. and we celebrated karmun's birthday. the OLDEST one in class. lol. i think if u are a jan baby. u have this super high chance of being the oldest in class. happy birthday gal. ya. i think the 0735ians are slowly bonding together man. soon the cliques thing will be gone and we'll be one happy class lol.

then yesterday, went for trng in the j2 boat. woah the difference was like so huge lah. i mean champion boat is seriously super light compared to SDBA boat. however as the saying goes, "with great power, comes great responsibility" though the boat was light, we got to increase the intensity to allow max power. and the stroke taught was also quite different. this time must use legs too. the difference in timing was also quite great, i heard... 30s! its like a 50-100m difference.woah.

man, db is seriously like drama. got love story, sad story, backstabbing and all. this is scary man. shan't mention much details. but sheesh, there is nothing wrong bout not being able to row, it's more on the attitude than the physical aspects. it's not like he wanted to have such a prob so just give him a break and lay off him...

after all that rowing, then went home to watch the SGP vs MAS match. one word to describe it- "BORING". when i turned on the TV. the 1st thing i saw was lionel lewis let the ball just bounced off him and entered the goal. it was like omg, this can't be happening man. letting in the goal at such a crucial period. furthermore, it was something that could have been avoided...
then after couple of min, SGP also scored! it was quite a relief man. if we lost, i would not dare to be dressed in yellow at the national stadium. then blah blah... quite a long while later, it broke into penalty shootout. then singapore finally won. oh well at least this time lionel lewis did not screw up at the last shot. if not he'll have the whole 55k worth of ppl over him.

then there was church svc today. as usual it was another awesome svc. however this time was pastor Dr. A.R. Bernard. his word was seriously like super impactful. he went over the key issues of kristos kai kosmos or christ in culture. oh yeah! nxt wk is Ps Ulf Elkman's conference. mm must make it a point to go.

ok. now time to chiong some maths hmwk. toodles

went to crash 0622's physics tutorial today. it was quite funny coz low chee wai counted 23 ppl in the class and tot all were present. actually derick was absent and i was the stow away... so lesson continued as per normal till when low chee wai wanted to check the homework. then he suddenly realise that i was from 0622 but is not in 0622 now. lol. took him like 25 min to figure that out. oh well there goes the surprise.

great now we got to wait till mid feb for chinese a levels and pw. while the rest of the 0735ians are worrying bout whether they can get a good and decent o level grade to stay or go to their dream education center. man that feels like centuries ago. the feeling of getting ur o level results. the feeling when u saw that u did better than prelims yet not enough to bring u where u want. the feeling when u found out that u are stuck in this school that u dislike (mainly coz of ur sucky first 3 months teacher and also coz u require that one more point to get out of here) **not that i dun like my new class after that**. the feeling when u finally realise 1st 3 months is all a lie. the final realisation that promotion aint a breeze and the term holidays means study leave.

ok. enough of me getting all sentimental bout the past. but oh well. this is the hard fact of reality these ppl gotta face soon. time to walk down that path again. yet at a different perspective.
cya.

3 months from super tanned to fair. 1 day to reverse the process.

trng is gonna get tough man. but as the saying goes when the going gets tough, we must be tougher to overcome it.
i think my fitness have grossly gone to the dogs man. running is now like a new found fear...

ok nvm bout that. tmr will be a fresh new week and i'll get to see my class again. haha. this yr's j1's are super weird. really weird. all mugging and homework and close to zero fun. oh man. it's only 1st 3 months man. they can still take it easy. wait till the fun time is over, then even if they wanna have fun, they also cannot. haha. oh well also considered good for me, i can concentrate on studying this way...

my new class 0735

Ooooo my new class 0735!

rough stats on my class:
civics tutor is mr william yeo
chinese teacher is still ms Goh mui lien :P, econs teacher is haniss (sure die liao), maths teacher is mr tan something... the com lab tech guy.

got i think 10 girls and 12 guys or the other way round...
filled with like 5 xinmin and 5 nanchiau (but still no one as short as melody).
no cat high, tk, chung cheng, amk, beatty ppl.
got one wanna join db, one wanna join kayak, one wanna join odac, one in rugby, another one or two joining choir.
haha at least all of them seem fairly nice ppl, and so far i have not caught sight of any true muggers unlike in 0622 where almost everyone is a mugger.

my timetable seems fairly ok if i dun take chinese.
mostly around 3 plus other than fri which has pe till 5.30.
but there is like 2h break every day!

time to show ppl some magic

http://www.nanyangjc.org/departments/index.php?show=Science&p=3
look at the teacher right in the center called So Seok Hoon teaching Chem

then take a look at Heng Seok Choo teaching Physics
http://www.nanyangjc.org/departments/index.php?show=Science&p=4

finally try to spot the similarities

well if u have not suspected it, they are SISTERS lol.
today during chem lecture, mrs so told us herself. she saw us all bored and decided to entertain us.
and mrs so not only look like her, but she aslo speak like her, sound like her and even make the same type as joke as her....

ok i know this aint the right time to be blogging but well my lesson alr ended.

the past 2 days of sch have been quite normal i guess other than the fact that u got 2 lessons a day for the whole week even though it is an official sch day.

i found out 2 things... the j2 teachers this yr is seriously quite bad compared to the j1 teachers. as in seriously. so far after going for maths econs geo and gp i decided that this fact holds.

and update on one of the things kwek decided to do this yr is finally making drawstrings officially official as jj puts it. he made like 2 other j1s go model for the whole level yesterday. and mr chng also had to model too lol. this is like one of the few things he did that the sch approves lately. well i guess it is a start for him lol.

with official class tutorial only starting next week, i will finally start my sch term officially meanwhile just continue waiting through long breaks and pathetic bits of lessons here and there.

over the past 2-3 days, after reading up on books and the papers, seeing the type of stuff ppl are going through, then going out with frens, hearing their problems, i suddenly felt like i am one of the few fortunate ppl in life who were lucky enough to have not much misfortune really happened in their life...

i mean there are ppl in the world suffering frm family problems, some had hol turned to nightmare due to new year bombings, some had relationship prob, others have to face the fact that their child is mentally-disabled thus they decided to stop the child frm growing to allow them as parents to take care of the child.

then looking at my own life where almost all problems are related to sch and cca, which can be solved quite easily i feel that it is a blessing. sure i do quarrel with my parents sometimes, i do have feel lonely at times and sometimes i really feel utterly lousy with myself and everything around me, life is difficult but ultimately it is something everyone will face and what i've suffered is nothing compared to some ppl i guess.

life must go on no matter what happens and we cannot take every small little problem to heart. let go. be free in Him and give Him all ur problems and stop worrying bout the problem. solve it not ponder and curse over it.

Apparently mr kwek is doing something really drastic to NYJC’s system.

1.he retained 74 students from 2006. apparently it was 10% of the cohort and one of the highest in Singapore not even MJC can compete.
2.he then made the retainees go through some program (which seem quite worthless so far) for the 1st 3 days of sch instead of what most of the j1s are doing. ( though it help me get out of the incredibly stupid mass dance but that aint the point check this link to understand http://youtube.com/watch?v=FzRJPPy29gU )
3.he is trying to close down every single darn cca he can all in the name of low budget due to lack of results. track and field, bowling were the first victims then now kayak, odac, db will soon join their path if something aint done soon
4.he spends the sch budget on making ridiculous things like synchronizing all the sch clocks with one main one, then re-flooring the entire gym though the previous floor was ok, make dumb panels that are incredibly unnecessary huge in the toilets (so that’s where all the supposed lack of funds go.
5.since he felt that the sch English standard suck so he added a couple more hours of GP into the J2s timetable.
6.he tried to get rid of a sch song and also change the entire uniform color which though ugly has been an age old tradition.

He seriously seems like cat high’s principal lee hak boon. The type who would spend money on stones and ponds yet won’t spend on the paper for student worksheets. The type that will spend money to get the sch’s name on a sports drink (ch jive… instead of h2o isotonic drink).
The type that will get rid of an age old tradition to say the school pledge and instead come up with the sch motto of his own. The type that would totally change the whole sch’s image no matter what it takes no matter what.

hmmm… whether it is really feasible for all that change to affect the students that I dun know for a fact, but all I know all the actions must be explained no matter what. coz these actions will affect the students and he cannot work without at least explaining the rationale behind it all.

new year day

first post of 2007 !

the first thing i saw this morn was the thailand bomb blast on the news. urgh. can't ppl these days get a life. i mean fancy bombing up like more than 7 bombs in the capital of a country during new year's eve. what type of sick idiots will do that. luckily there were few casualties... haiz so sad. must keep praying for thailand. recently a lot of things happen there like the recent stock market thing and the military coup.

well on a llighter note,
went to Gerade's house just now. super nice of him to open his house up for us. and his mom prepare like loads of food! she started like 3plus in the morn... omg so early. while ppl count down she prepare the food for today... so nice.

ok that's all that happen today. now must start to get ready to go back to lead a j1 life on wed...
