today i read on the papers bout sparing the rod spoiling the child. i feel that though it is true that by not hitting them or punishing them, as a parent is in fact harming more than benefitting the child, however i personally feel one cannot solely beat the child, without telling the logic behind. this is because if not the child will feel that he has not done wrong and as a parent u are just beating him indiscriminately. furthermore, as a child, they cannot help them differentiate right or wrong and just by beating w/o reason, it may lead to unnecessary trouble and breed violence.. oh well a 2 prong approach must be done to handle such situation in both a rational and benefitial way, to allow a healthy relationship between both the parent and the child. however no one said it was easy lolz...
